Dr. Michael April
Michael April, M.D. has recently joined Sarasota Chiropractic and PT. Dr. April specializes in musculoskeletal medicine including sports injuries and pain management. He ran a practice in the Washington, D.C. suburbs for 30 years. Dr. April received an engineering degree from Johns Hopkins University and played baseball there all four years. He then attended medical school at the Medical College of Virginia, in Richmond. A residency followed in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at NYU. Dr. April has been a team physician for USA at the World and PanAm Maccabiah Games and a high school team physician for 20 years. Dr. April utilizes many techniques to help patients improve their lives including injections, acupuncture, medications, supplements, and exercise. He believes staying active leads to a full and long life and continues to play baseball and workout regularly. He and his wife have three children and one grandchild.
