An Aligned Spine Leads to Increased Chiropractic Wellness

spinal adjustments lead to better spinal alignment in Sarasota patients.jpg3 Benefits of Spinal Adjustments

At Sarasota Chiropractic, Physical Therapy & Massage in Sarasota, FL, we are dedicated to providing the best in natural healing and chiropractic wellness for our patients. Most of our patients come to our facility because they are injured or because they want to increase wellness through natural healing methods like adjustment. Spinal alignment is one of the services that is most often performed here at Sarasota Chiropractic, Physical Therapy & Massage because it has so many benefits for the whole body.

Spinal Alignment for Better Back Posture and Pain Relief

Spinal alignment may sometimes be perceived as something that you do simply to make your spine straighter to improve back posture. Although improved posture -- and relief of back pain or other aches and pains caused by constant slumping -- is indeed a major benefit of receiving an alignment, that is just one way in which spinal adjustments can help you enjoy improved wellness.

A spinal adjustment can also be very helpful for those suffering from a reduced range of motion. Range of motion problems may start to happen naturally as a person ages, or they may occur due to issues like arthritis. Some sports injury patients will have reduced range of motion until they are fully rehabilitated from their injury. Chiropractic adjustments will reduce the pressure on the spine, allowing for easier motion. This will in turn allow for better joint lubrication as the body starts to heal.

Spinal adjustment has also been extremely helpful in the reduction or elimination of adhesions. Adhesions, which are essentially built up scar tissue that can attach itself to the joints and the muscles, can have some very difficult to manage effects: Adhesions can cause a great deal of pain and even make it difficult to move normally. A spinal alignment can help in breaking up adhesions which will prevent problems and allow the scar tissue to be harmlessly reabsorbed.

Our patients often enjoy their spinal adjustments, especially once they find how much better their body starts to function. What led you to have your first spinal adjustment?
